Apples and citrus fruits

Shellac has many functional uses in a variety of foods. Apple and citrus growers use a shellac based solution in their packing lines when preparing fruit for shipment to markets around the world. The many benefits of shellac based coatings on apples, oranges, lemons, pears etc. are:
